Some companies begin in garage, some in kitchens, some in back yards. Yugadi* began in all rooms and corners of our house! Our foundation lies in the experience of two generations in science and technology education. My parents Madhav and Sunita Khare founded a trust called Shastravahini, dedicated to provide hands-on science education to students from primary schools to colleges for more than 25 years.
In November 2023, inspired by the principles instilled by Shastravahini, my wife Shilpa and I established Yugadi Enterprises LLP. Both holding PhDs from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc), our academic backgrounds enriched our vision for the company.
Ever since I remember, I had been tinkering with tools, gadgets, appliances and making my own toys. My research during PhD also hovered around making miniature instruments. While building and crafting toys and games with our kids I realized the need of a platform to deliver toys and kits for learning science and technology. Through sphere64.com yugadi wants to bring science to your homes in a way that lets you and your kids enjoy learning and creating at the same time. We sell highly innovative and affordable products that trigger curiosity to learn science and technology with hands-on experience. Our philosophy does not create divides between different streams of science. Be it physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, engineering, or any other branch, our design principles make the experience of ‘learning by doing’ very cohesive.
